VISION
The
library media center is the hub of Morrisville Elementary School.
Students share the inviting and stimulating area all day long on
a flexible basis as they read for pleasure, research topics or create
projects. The layout of furniture and materials is purposefully
organized so children can use
materials
and computers independently. The sound of students at
work - comparing opinions, solving problems and helping each other.
A sense of community is evident as volunteers work with students
or assist the library staff. Parents browse the shelves choosing
books for family reading. They stop to admire the student
work on display all around the center. On the rug, a class
participates in an interactive story time.
