MEDIA POLICIES
How Many Books Can I 
Check Out?
When students inquire about the number of checkouts allowed, we pose the question.  "How many books can you be responsible for?"   We want to promote reading and encourage frequent visits to the media center to browse for interesting reading material.  We also coined the slogan, "you need to bring some to get some".  This helps the children to remember to return materials before checking out more.  It is possible to see your child bringing home four and five books each day. 

For track out, we will continue to allow students to check out 5 books. The week of track out, you can borrow materials for track out as long as you don't have any overdue books. If you finish your books and want to bring them back before track out is over, you can stop by any time to choose new materials.

Books need to be returned 2 weeks after you borrow them - magazines are loaned overnight.

Books on tape are loaned for 2 days.

Please remember to bring back 
your books - if you have any 
overdue materials you will not 
be allowed to check out 
additional books or magazines.

Parents may also check out materials...inquire at the Media 
Center about getting a library 
card.
