Fundraising

Why are we planning both the Donation Drive and Fundraisers? Based on feedback from both parent and teacher surveys, the general consensus is some want only fundraisers, others want only donations and some want both. With a strong donation drive and a few successful fundraisers, we are able to offer a compromise to meet our goals and offer the planned educational enhancements for the children of Morrisville. Also, some parents feel that participation in fundraisers offer learning experiences by means of communication skills and the importance of raising money to support worthy causes as well as create a sense of ownership in their school.

Donation Drive - This is by far our most profitable fundraiser of the year! This gives you an opportunity to donate by way of your membership application, online, or just by contacting a PTA member. Don’t forget to sign up for a company-matching donation if your employer participates.

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION

Morrisville families start/continue clipping and saving all your General Mills Box Tops for Education. Box Tops is a easy way to earn cash for our school. Simply clip and save the small Box Top found on most General Mills products, including Big G cereal, Pillsbury Refrigerated items, Old El Paso, Green Giant and many, many more.

Please send in your trimmed box tops the last week prior to each of your track outs.
Keep sending box tops in. We collect all year long. Thanks again!

Send In Your Donations

For those of you that prefer to send in donations, you can print out the donation form. Once completed, simply send it in to your child's teacher who will turn it in to the PTA.

Free Money For Our School!!

Do you shop at Harris Teeter, Kroger, Food Lion or Target or get your telephone service through Verizon? If so, you can earn extra money for our school.

Harris Teeter: Go to Customer Service next time you are in the store and ask them to link your VIC card to Morrisville Elementary. Our Together in Education school code is #1022. Purchase any Harris Teeter Private Label product between August and May and we will receive a percentage of your sales (You must link your card every year to continue participation).

Kroger: Go to Customer Service next time you are in the store and ask them to link your Kroger Plus Card to Morrisville Elementary. We will earn points to purchase educational equipment from their catalogue.

Food Lion: Call Customer Service on 1-800-210-9569 or visit www.foodlion.com to link your card. Select Register MVP card. You will enter your Food Lion MVP number, name and then choose Morrisville Elementary. At the end of each quarter. Food Lion will divide the funds proportionally among all registered organizations depending on their total accumulated sales (You must link your card each year to continue participation).

Target: If you already have a Target Visa card or Target Guest card, call 1-800-316-6142 or visit www.target.com to link your card - our school number is 81126. If you would like to sign up to get a card, go to a Target store to complete an application form, making sure you designate Morrisville Elementary on the application form. We will receive 1 percent of any purchase made at Target using the visa card or guest card,and 1/2 percent of purchases made elsewhere using the visa card.

Double Your Money The following are just a few of the major companies that offer Matching Gifts. If you are an employee of one of these companies, ask your employer to match your donation to our school!

Glaxo Smith Kline	Will match contribution for eligible employees.	Employee must fill out form from HR

Your Volunteer Hours Can Earn Money For Morrisville! Did you know that participating in activities at your child’s school could contribute to PTA funds? The following is a list of some of the companies that contribute money to our school for volunteer hours. Please take the time to sign-in in the special book located in the office and register your hours with your company. Your time is a valuable resource and is greatly appreciated!

EMC2	Will contribute $1 per hour, up to $250	Employees must go on-line to internal HR website to register their total hours. You’ll need the PTA tax ID # 56-01662931
SAS	Will contribute $500 for 96 hours (must volunteer 8 hours per month for 12 months	www.sas.com/corporate/community/index.html Check with Human Resources for application and timesheet deadlines!
Glaxo Smith Kline	Will contribute $500 for 50 hours.	Application form must be requested from the HR office
Eli Lilly		Employees need to contact HR for more information

Morrisville Elementary is a 501-C-3 non-profit organization and all of your monetary donations are tax ductible (this statement does not apply to funds spent to purchase items for fundraising purposes).
