Here We Go Again! A WebQuest for 2nd Grade (Science: Animal and
Insect Life Cycles) Designed by Sandra Kidd, Candace Errato, Kim Pabst, and Beth Ramsey

the new neighborhood pet shop.
You will care for the many pets at Here We Go Again Pet Shop. Many different animals and insects
live in Here We Go Again. Some of
the pets that will be delivered include hamsters, goldfish, parakeets,
geckos, puppies, crickets, poison dart frogs, snakes, and butterflies. Members of your community can get their
pets and supplies at your pet shop.
Your
birds have escaped from their cages and are pecking and chirping near the
mammals. As you try and put the
birds back in their cages, you notice that mammals and birds have things in
common even though they are in different kingdoms. 1. Create a VENN Diagram in KIDSPIRATION
(with a partner) that compares and contrasts mammals and birds. 1.
Go to KIDSPIRATION. 2.
With a partner create
a VENN Diagram. 3.
Label one circle as
‘mammals’ and label the other circle as ‘birds.’ 4.
Then type in
characteristics for mammals and birds in the correct circles. Remember that the middle circle is for
similarities. Turn your completed VENN Diagram in to your
teacher. Please make sure your
name is on your paper. Print one
copy for each person. You
